As you can see, I went with your request. After his fever got so bad he almost fainted, Hal finally gave in and admitted that he might actually be sick. Lucky for him Barry enjoys taking care of him even though Hal’s quite the nagger. Having a fever is horrible but Barry caressing him makes it a little better.

From dreamers to heroes all the way to a lifelong friendship.

My headcanon for old!Hal is that he’s having a hard time letting go of his former, younger image, since he was always used to people complementing his appearance, and starts grooming himself more – shaving regularly and working out more (‘I can’t end up getting fat, Barry. My dad’s jacket is already getting tight!!’). Old!Barry on the other hand, even with his metabolism and though he eats healthy, gets a small chubby tummy because he continues eating lots of sweets. There’s just so much the speedforce can do. Unlike Hal, Barry doesn’t really mind and has accepted this change.
To no one’s surprise Hal has completely different standards for others compared to himself and finds Barry adorable with his stomach, often patting it from behind. Barry’s attempts at making Hal accept that he’s not 20 anymore usually fail. (‘Bodies change, Hal…There’s nothing wrong with that.’ ’Yeah well, easy for you to say. You look amazing.’)

The next day Hal has a cold and Barry needs to take care of him, but it was totally worth it in Hal’s opinion.

I had this scenario in my head where Barry catches Hal… Well he tries to  but mostly just cushions his fall.

Hal is a nice man, he wants to thank his hero… His beautiful blonde hero.
