When posting your work, we ask you that you include which day or prompt that you are posting for either in the tags or the main body of work. Sometimes this is not clear and we want to keep our tagging system neat and easy to navigate for people who want to read back on past prompts.
While we ask that everyone tries to stick to the given days for each theme, if it is a little late, still put your submission in the tag (#olivarryweek2017 this time – remember to make sure it’s in the first 5 tags or it won’t appear in the tracked tags!) and it will be reblogged as long as it’s in by the end of the week. Please note: early posts won’t be reblogged.
This year, we are also allowing an additional day for straggling works to be reblogged – so we will reblog works up until the following Sunday! However, this is where it is definitively cut off, so nothing will be reblogged from the following Monday onwards.
We have made the ao3 collection already – so when submitting your work on ao3, please make sure that you submit it to us so that your work gets added in there. The collection this year is olivarryweek2017.
Don’t forget to include what day/theme your submission is for either in the tags or in the post itself.
We’re so excited for yet another year of Olivarry goodness! We can’t wait to see what everyone has come up with!
The final votes are in! Here are your themes for Olivarry Week 2017!
Day 1 – Sunday July 9th: Dark!Olivarry Day 2 – Monday July 10th : Memory Loss Day 3 – Tuesday July 11th : Soulmates AU Day 4 – Wednesday July 12th: Free Day Day 5 – Thursday July 13th: Secret Relationship AU Day 6 – Friday July 14th: Hostage/Kidnapped Day 7 – Saturday July 15th: Power/Body Swap AU
In case you haven’t seen our previous posts, here is a reminder of a few things:
Olivarry Week 2017 will be running from Sunday July 9th until Saturday July 15th. We will be reblogging the posts according to American EST, and things will be reblogged twice a day – once at 10am, and once at 10pm. Don’t worry if you miss the cut off due to your time zone, we will just reblog it on the next one.
ANYTHING can be posted – fics, art, playlists, gifsets, fanvids, etc. The only requirement is that they follow the prompt and that it is Olivarry.
Any works that you post should be under the tag #olivarryweek2017. Please make sure to include this in your first five tags so that we can track it properly.
The rest of the rules can be found here. Please familiarize yourself with these so that everything runs smoothly!
Day 4 (Free Day) is the day that you can post ANYTHING you want as long as it’s Olivarry.
For any questions regarding any of the chosen themes, take a look at our FAQ and feel free to send us an ask if that doesn’t help!
The poll to vote for the themes for Olivarry Week 2017 is now open!
We had a lot of prompts this year, and we had to shave the list down from over 70 prompts to under 35, so a lot of themes had to be merged. We tried to make sure that most of them were actually included (for example, specific requests like “GoT AU” etc were merged into a more nonspecific category) and some that we felt didn’t fit or were too specific had to be discarded. Keep in mind, though, that if the theme that you were hoping for didn’t make it, we still have Free Day.
With that out the way – you guys can vote for up to 6 themes! Choose wisely. The poll will be open until Saturday, May 27th.

Just a quick reminder that theme submissions close tomorrow morning, so that the poll can be posted later that day. If you have any theme ideas, this is your final chance to get them in!
Mark your calendars! It was a close call, but the date for Olivarry Week 2017 (by one vote!!) is July 9th – July 15th. Thank you to everyone who signal boosted the last post and voted.
So here is a breakdown of how the dates for the event will look (please note that some of these may be subject to change depending on admin availability, but there shouldn’t be any issues at this point, and the Olivarry Week date is set in concrete):
May 13th: Prompt suggestions close, prompt poll opens. May 27th: Prompt poll closes. May 28th/29th: Themes announced. July 9th: Olivarry Week 2017 begins. July 15th: Olivarry Week 2017 ends.
We’re still taking prompt suggestions for the next week, so throw them at us! As mentioned above, suggestions close next Saturday (May13th) and a poll will be posted on the same day.
As always, thank you to everyone for their input. If you guys could give us another signal boost for this post to get the word out, that’d be awesome.
(I’ve included a breakdown of the votes under the cut if anyone is interested)
